Our mission is to create a space where art becomes a bridge between cultures, ideas, and communities. We host art exhibitions, workshops, and a variety of creative events that celebrate both contemporary expression and cultural heritage.

Founded in July 2025, Ruang Karsa began its journey with Bersinggungan (Interconnected), our debut event that brought together members of the Indonesian community in NYC and beyond. This gathering affirmed our belief that art is not just a form of expression, but a tool for building meaningful connections.

Guided by the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity), we strive to bring Southeast Asia—especially Indonesia—into a global conversation through creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. We believe that a strong community is built upon the understanding that there are far more similarities than differences among us as human beings.

Through our programs, we aim to unite artists, audiences, and communities, fostering dialogue and empathy while honoring the diversity of our backgrounds.
